This is a new car in its first race. The car was complete the day before we left for Pensacola and was untested. The car had a freewheel on a 20 in rear wheel come a part in the first 10 min of the Emerald Coast Electrathon. The Team decided to place a 16 inch front wheel on the rear and compete. In the Second race the car ran 62 laps with the small wheel. The body is PVC and mylar.  Chassis was constructed by the students in our welding shop.  We were happy with the performance of our new car and our second year Blue sky Design car did a couple of laps at 38 mph. The team finished second in the high school class has learned a lot. Congratulations to Pensacola HS on their victory. Our goal is to bring Electrathon to San Antonio.

Thank you Mr. Nichols for such a great event, we hope to be back next year.
