DaVinci Days and Eugene Celebration

Was just wondering...  Both of these events have been cancelled this year, but said that any of the "peripheral" events (such as electrathon) wanted they could still compete/display as normal...

was just wondering if electrathon was planning races at the "normal" times for these "off season" races?

DaVinci Days is dead for Electrathon this summer...They said that if I found all the money to run it: did all of the contact with OSU, the city, and the racers; got the insurance; did the advertisement for it; bought the trophies; cleaned the parking lot; set it up the track etc.; ran the race with inspectors, flaggers, registration, lap counters, etc.: and everything else they would be happy to let me put it on, but not any help at all from their end. So I said thanks but no thanks.

Eugene celebration is still a go. We will be in the shortened parade on Saturday August 23rd and then set up for the race at Valley River Center for Saturday (23rd) and Sunday (24th). Saturday is planned for from 5 to 6 (clockwise) as usual and Sunday from 11 to noon (going counter clockwise). Hopefully we will have a good turnout. Valley River said it looks good from their end for us to hold the race and I have money from EWEB for the insurance, t-shirts, trophies, and some lap money left over. Depending on the newest cost of insurance since it went up again this summer how much we will have for lap money. HOPE TO SEE LOTS OF TEAMS AND CARS THERE.
