I've never really looked at what people are using for battery chargers. I'm using a couple different chargers, and will hopefully be able to narrow it down to two or three chargers if possible. Input is welcome, thanks.

we use:
Lester (25 amp battery charger that will charge up to 16 volts per battery)
Manzanita Micro (37 amp charger, fully adjustable, but more expensive)

BATTERY CHARGER. Mine is Guest, model16102, 2 bank, 12/24 volt, 6 or 12 amp, any lead acid battery, you may leave it connected all year, about $ 135 Stan r
the biggest thing with a low cost charger is how long will it take to charge back up a battery(s). Low end chargers like the NAPA I have found with similar ones will take up to a day or two to recharge a dead set of batteries. With a high end one, like a Shumacher (about $70-90) with a set of yellow tops can take about 6 hours to recharge a dead set of yellows.
It depends on how much you really want to spend. I went through a couple chargers before I was satisfied with one type of charger and have had good success with it.
Hope this answers your question. Zaine
