I am helping a local high schooler who needs to check his spelling ("Weenier for the win", really?) build a car. It is based on a 6' fiberglass hotdog he had.
Looks like a fun project. It is always nice to be a little different then the crowd.

More progress has been made. Brakes, seatbelts, steering, and battery mounts all done. Less than a week till race day. Still gotta be wired, painted, and get instrumentation. This kid has plenty to do.
The weinermobile competed in the Emerald Coast Classic Electrathon race last Saturday. In spite of having one chain problem in each heat, it still managed to finish 7th out of 28 or so in the High School Class. Not too bad for a hot dog.

Progress so far...
He got about all of the structural stuff done.
Now he's got to fix up the fiberglass.
