I was Hoping to get some ideas on what others are doing with there tire track, how far apart the tires are. Is there any benefits to having them only 2 feat apart other then for a lower aerodynamic footprint.

The ideal track width of the car depends on the type of track you'll be racing on in my opinion.
If you're on a long, fast track with easy, sweeping turns then the aerodynamic benefits of a narrow car will be important. I
you're on a twisty track then a wider wheel spacing will allow you faster cornering speeds without tipping over.
