wait, my original question was whether or not i could wear a dirtbike helmet or if it had to be a full face helmet, which did get answered. now i have another question. if i wear the visor with the helmet, which is not a full face helmet but it does cover your chin, do i still have to wear goggles? thanks
As of this season, you do have to wear a full helmet (with a chin guard). The spec says DOT full face helmet. A lot of the time the DOT stickers are not on the helmet, so it is a call on the inspector at that time. I would allow a quality dirtbike helmet, they often are safer than street helhets in out cars. The full face part is mandatory.
