Aaron Longo, Thanks for another great race. The weather was great the sun helped to get rid of the last of the water from the flooding that occurred on the track a few times this winter/spring. Thank Davidsons for washing down the track and the sweepers for getting rid of the last of the debris.
Mark Watts and Aaron Williams, Thanks again for all you do to help out the NW Electrathon program. I know setting up, running, figuring out any problems and then taking down the electronic lap counting system at each race is not easy for fun but it is very much appreciated by all.
To all the races, teachers and parents, etc. involved, Thanks for a great day. We had hamburgers and hot dogs for all furnished by WHS and cooked by a WHS parent--thank you very much--it was great to see teams helping teams repair cars and showing great sportsmanship on and off the track.
I will chalk this up to another great day of EA racing even if WHS did not do as well as we had hoped. We did find one error as shown on the email's attachment I sent out. Car #110 took 4th and I have changed that in the standings.
Thanks to all and see all of you in Hood River this Saturday for another great day. Mike

Mike,
Our butts are starting to get sore too. We hope to pick things up here in the next weeks races. It is definatly the little things that make all the differances. I even heard that you must be cheating, there is no way you could be as fast as you are (I laughed at the statement, told them you really are that good).
The little things counting, what I am trying to convince my students. I finally had most of them go through and check their cars for at least some of the items that I asked them to. And all of our cars were running at the end except for the one that a new driver flipped after over reacting to the slight spin out that a flat back tire caused. We finally had a couple of cars break into the top 10. Not like Willamette in the past but I think my kids are starting to get it so hopefully we will start placing up where we should (in my opinion>>)
Yes let you kids know that even if I win or take second I still spend at least a couple of hours going over my car to check all my wiring, frame, tire scrub, rear wheel spokes, sprocket alignment, etc. to be sure that I can do well the next race as well. If you don't the next race is a huge let down.
