THIS IS A VIDEO LINK TO A GREAT VIDEO BY A STUDENT IN OUR SCHOOL'S VIDEO GRAPHICS CLASS. GREAT GO-PRO SHOTS WITH HIS QUAD COPTER DRONE AND CAMERAS MOUNTED ON CARS AS WELL AS HAND HELD. JUST TURN DOWN THE SOUND AS IT HAS MY VOICE IN A LOT OF THE BACKGROUND.
As you can see there is about a 35 to 40 foot elevation change in this track along with a number of tight corners lots of cars. Fun for all and a real driving challenge.
I think Nick is going to come to the May 9th race and do another video maybe a little longer I will add this one as well.
Nick that made the video is in my beginning metals class and is planning on joining our program next year and he will be a good addition I think.
Most of the races in the NW have lots of turns and about 1/2 have a significant elevation change so lots of fun and a real challenge to do well but not die too early. I finally put in a battery monitoring system fro the last race. Before that I had two Harbor freight meters--one for volts and one for amps and did fairly well against cars with the meters but I would get upset at myself if I missed guessed my usage.
