Good 20" Front Wheel Rims
Permalink

My school is currently using Tomos wheels with integrated drum brakes but we would like to try using some lighter weight 20" wheels with hydraulic breaks and were looking to use tires like these http://shop.maxxis.com/c/bicycle_bmx_hookworm but if any one knows of a better tire we are open to that as well. Does anyone know of a good rim that is built to allow attachment of a disc brake rotor?

You'll most likely need to get mountain bike hubs with a solid through axle to attach to.
I've got Avid BB7 180mm rotors on my car at the moment.
The hub was a 36h with bigger gauge spokes to deal with the side to side lateral stress due to sharp hard cornering.
Rims were a triple wall Primo Hula Hoop rim (same spoke count), but these are getting harder to find.
I fear that Primo doesn't make them anymore.
You'll want at least a double wall BMX style rim to hold up to the bouncing and pot holes if dealing with any in your area.

I can send some pics if you need more info about what my set up looks like.
