EWEB KILOWATT KLASSIC SEPT. 16th & 17th

Wanted to let everyone know that we are having a race in Eugene OR on 9/16 & 17 at Valley River Center.  The results of each day are added together to determine the places for the full event.  Trophies for the top 4 finishers in student and open class.  This is a great chance for your new students to come to a race, help out, and see an actual race before they build their car over the winter for the spring races.

This is the longest running annual race in America, our 22nd annual.  As in the last few years this tight course has 5 - 180 degree hairpins and one sweeping 180 to make a half mile track in a 560' X 575' parking lot.  The race is usually won at about 22 to 24 miles over the hour each day.  We will travel clockwise the first day and counterclockwise the second.  Willamette will be there with hopefully at least 15 of its fleet of 19 from last spring.  These will all be cut up and new cars built starting the week after this race.

As always this is a free race.  EWEB is still figuring out sponsorship this year but there will be a race and trophies.  Hopefully we will have t-shirts for drivers and all that help with the race.  Usually we also have ~$500 in lap money.

Hope to see many teams and cars come to the last race of 2017 and my last time to host this race.
