In our car, we recently got an Alltrax SR48300 controller. So far it has been working well in tests, but when the throttle is pressed then released, the motor continues to spin slowly. We have checked the pedal to make sure the problem is not mechanical and it appears to be working fine. I have the Alltrax toolkit on my PC but haven't been able to figure out how to fix it. Any help would be appreciated and I can provide any additional information if necessary.
We had the same problem when using our original 0-5ohm throttle, we switched to a 0-5v throttle and never had a problem again. In the programming for your controller you can change the throttle type. You might also be able change the throttle position settings on the controller if you don't want a new throttle. You could make it so the first maybe the first 10 degrees of the throttle rotational gives no power so that would stop giving motor power prematurely.
in the alltrax software, see if theres a readout what can tell you throttle position, i believe this is a feature but im not 100%, also check to make sure what throttle type you have and see if it matches what throttle you selected in the settings
