Electrathon of Tampa Bay is holding their next race Saturday December 8 in Plant City. Detail at http://electrathonoftampabay.org/www/.
We will have a level bed with scales at this Saturday`s race. Any and all teams are encouraged to come by and scale their car.
Corner weights are a measurement of how much of the weight of the car is supported by each tire on a flat surface in static conditions.
Corner weights are important in helping setting up your car for the best balance and optimum use of tires.
If you have a wheel lock (a method locking your steering in a straight ahead postion) that will help give the most accurate results. Weighting should be done in race condition with batteries and driver in the car.
We will have a sign up sheet where you can reserve a time. Please try and tell us when you will be coming by. Between races or after the last race are recommended times.
I did not really get a feel for average weight. The only thing I do remember noticing was that the Jim Robinson built cars had impressively even weight balance left to right and the rear wheel carries a little more weight than each of the front wheels which matches with what we run to get a slightly loose car.
