The inaugural Dothan Electrathon event was held on May 4th at the National Peanut Festival fairgrounds.
The track consisted of a tight oval about .42 miles in length with a very wide Lane width.
The surface was a little rough in spots but was pretty decent overall. The fairgrounds has plans in place to resurface portions of it within the next year.
The event was sponsored by Michelin and they provided
Chick-fil-A lunch for the participants.
There were only 4 teams in attendance with 8 cars total which wasn't too bad for a first-year event.
The winner did 69 laps in one race and 65 or so in the second.
All-in-all, it was a pretty good event which will likely grow as it finds it's niche in the busy spring schedule amongst all the other school events.
