Fun race at Homestead though we struggled a little. A misbehaving temperature sensor shut down the motor in the practice session.
We had a rain delayed start for the first race. Similar to 'Showroom Stock' racing, there is an advantage to running worn tires. For us, in Electrathon, the less rubber depth translates to less rolling resistance. On a long (for Electrathon racing) track like Homestead, we knew the tires would not wear much, so we started on fully worn tires, basically slicks.
We had a both turn-in understeer, and lots of power-on oversteer. Unfortunately, the third place driver misread the corner and plowed into the Super Coupe. This broke our rear suspension and we were only able to struggle on for a lap and a half. The damage was not repairable at the track, so that ended our day.
