The new weight limit opens up a huge can of worms, 12,24,36,48 volt. Red top, yellow top, etc.etc. I don't have the $ to experiment but I have some very competitive kids. What I would propose is that we keep the weight limit the same as last year unless you are willing to go with the deep cell then you can go up to the new weight. I believe the intent of the change was to save us $ not cost us more. Jeff
Kyle, you are not the only one that did not receive a ballot. I wish they would have updated the member list before this issue was brought up but I doubt that it would have much difference with a 3 to 1 vote in favor of the change.

I know it was not the intent, but this is a competition. Those who want to win will do what they can within the rules to go fast. At this point, I think the best go faster option is to use one 75/25 red top and one 78 red top in series. The cars should be setting a lot of new top speed and track records this year due to the rule change.
Jeff, it is too late to change it back. Possibly next year the issue can be addressed and fixed.

This forum should help a lot with this issue. We can talk about this stuff out in the open here. In the fall of 2010, there can be a lot of visable passing of info and anyone who should vote will be alerted to it.
Hi all, As far as not getting a 'ballot.' Each team contact should have gotten an email about the vote. There were about 7 or so emails that were not valid but the rest of the teams all should have had the opportunity to cast a vote it they wished to. Mike
