I'm thinking of making a tail cone for PIR this coming weekend for the Memorial day weekend race. I know the general idea of what shape it's suppose to be, basically tapers or sweeps towards the back tire so the airstream can pass by the car without any turbulance behind the car (also known as drag in aviation terms.)
What do other teams do if you make a tail cone for your specific cars and how do you attach them to the car? I was thinking tape and velcroe but wasn't sure what other people were doing, plus I was thinking make it so the tail cone could be removed easily and quickly if I was chainging anything on the car last minute beforea race. Input is welcome.

On mine I made a metal cage that went around the back wheel, and welded it to the back of the car. I then pop riveted plastic to the cage, and the back of the car. I then put some tape on the edges.
