Amp Draw?

About how many amps do cars end up drawing from the batteries by the end of the race? I have heard numbers that are about 40 amps in the hour. It will probably depend on the course and obviously will depend on the gearing, but I was just trying to get a sense of the amp draw capabilities of the Optima Red and Yellow top batteries.

Cloud can likely answer this best. But memory says he usually gets around 40 amp hours out of his red tops.

I think most that are running yellow tops get about 33 amp hours.

Plus Dave O' Neel and I were pretty much giving chase to one another on the second day.  No one could touch the two of us.  I remember Dave got 43 amp hours from his red tops that day, so it was a very close race indeed.  A one lap difference is what I recall.
