I have noticed different cars using many designs for rear forks. However i do like the Thurston schools idea in which you move the motor in slots. I was wondering if anybody had any ideas on to which approach this design with. All I have is pictures to go off of so if anybody has blue prints or plans please let me know. That would be greatly appreciated.
I think Willamette High (Eugene Oregon) has a template (design originated there I think)
but the way I did it was to center punch where my first bolt hole was and then use a compass (dividers/scribe/spreader) to mark the "arc" the bolts would have to slide though.... then I cut out the arcs with a plasma cutter.... acetylene torch would work too if plasma not available.

Well White Salmon is about 3 1/3 hours away from me.... but I will be going to Vancouver in a couple weeks to fix the hydraulic clutch system on my daughters Miata ( not the black one in the picture she now has a red one too... the white one is mine) so maybe I can arrange to make the trip up to White Salmon after I fix the car and before I go home... Stardiff, Does Mr. Hiskinds have a Plasma CAM in your lab. That is a brand of computer design machine with a plasma cutter so you can cut out exactly what you design in metal and it is nearly perfect every time. If he does I can send you guys a file with the plans for ours. Thurston's mount I believe slides while ours pivots on one of the 4 eTek bolts. Both work well to adjust the tightness of the chain. If not I will see if I can print a copy of it with dimensions and send it to you guys. Let me know.

Thank you guys for both ideas. I do like both ideas but i would like to see the blueprints or lay out for the sliding motor. I believe that would be more sufficient for our cars.
