I know with weight on cycle cars about 60% of the weight should be on the front axle and about 40% goes on the rear wheel but we are modifying our car. It had 4 wheels and the batteries were placed on my sides, 3 on each side (each about 10 pounds). In my profile picture you can see the car wings where the batteries would be. This did cause a lot of problems like 85% weight on the back 15% on the front (only lost control a few times during races), but this was when it was a 4 wheel car. We have extended the frame about 20-24 inches above the front axle. Before my legs were crunched up but now I can extend my legs and put the batteries up front. But when the batteries are up front it I know it will put a lot of force down on the frame but could this cause any other problems with the batteries being so far in front of the front axle?
