14.1 Vehicles must only be powered by electric motors.
 
The rules used to specify only one motor.
Are two or more allowed now?

Multiple motors have been allowed for several years. In the past, I have seen cars with 3 hub motors and with motors on each rear wheel for a front wheel steering car. I have never seen one do very well but that might have more to due with things outside of the motor.
