I have been looking at making a new car and we need a new motor, right now we have the ME0709, and I'm not a huge fan of it, it is the biggest motor being used in Tampa. The ME0909 seems to look good, much lighter then what we have now and much cheaper, has anyone had any experience with it?

Thanks for the help

What is wrong with the ME0708? That looks to be a good motor for Electrathon.

Rodney Schreck runs a Motenergy ME-909 sometimes (he has several motors and experiments with different ones) and it performs as well as his Etek. Some adjustment has to be made in gear ratio because the ME-909 has different rpm and horsepower ratings (83 rpm per volt on the 909 vs. 72 rpm per volt on the older Etek), but overall performance is excellent. One slight advantage over the other motors is the ME-909 is slightly physically smaller and therefore just a bit lighter weight.
