I would love to see Electrathon racing grow. With the "go green" fad going on I think that people would really be interested in the sport if they only knew about it. I have started to publicize EA on a website called Reddit. I think it would be awesome if you all went on and posted comments and/o...

Im trying to do some grantwriting work for the E.A., and am wanting some more diversified opinions, besides my own. -In the E.A. program, how do you(as a teacher or student) track/measure results? -Why does the E.A merit support, and why is it needed? Feel free to chime in. Every opinion helps.

What does everyone use for battery cables? I know most teams probably use normal 4 or 6 gauge battery cable. I know it works & is relatively cheap. Personally I prefer stereo cable. Presently using 6 gauge. However there is 8 gauge stereo cable that will handle over 40 amps long term & 80 + shor...

Hello to all Electrathon teams. We want to spread the word about a non-Electrathon event that may help us gear heads get through the months ahead of not having races. Anybody having issues with chain stretch? I am finding some new chain has a propensity to stretch after an hour of use. The drive wheel or motor is not moving at all. I suspect the chain I am purchasing is "cheap".

I was surprised to see the number 666 being used on a vehicle the other day. I know it is just a number to some, but there were people out there who were offended they told me so. We, as a group and sport, do not need this kind of advertising whizzing by at the rallies. This is a number that should be struck fro...

We are going to a non-steering wheel design on our new car (using levers) and am wondering what throttle types are effective (and hopefully inexpensive). I'm sure the idea has been thought of before, but what are the chances we could get like a 2.5 to 3 hour enduro here in the northwest? Sure would add an interesting element to Electrathon racing, as batteries and drivers would need to be changed out. Is this something that's even do-able?

I have been at a lot of races, many/most of which I have been involved in some way either officiating or counting. As the fields get larger counting becomes more and more difficult. Is it allowed to have the seat belts wrapped around the bar instead of welding a bolt to the bar? The rule book only says that it must be strong enough to pick up the whole car. I think that it would be just as strong as welding a bolt to the tube. I would like to know if this would pass inspection.
